About

Made by a family of scientists who want their children to learn how to find a fault, not just recite an answer.

Why it exists

Because the thing school measures and the thing the world now needs have come apart. Recall is cheap — a machine does it instantly and will keep getting better. Judgement is not. The child who notices that something is off, works out why, and can explain it to someone else has a skill that did not get cheaper.

There was no app that taught that. So we wrote one, one case at a time, checking every mechanism against how the thing actually works.

What we will not do

No data collection. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party requests.
No screen content for babies and toddlers — here is why, at length.
No paywalled values. Road safety, first aid, kindness, money sense and online safety are free, permanently.
No affiliate links on this website, and nobody pays to be recommended.

How the content is written

Every mechanism has to be true — simplified for the age, never falsified. If we cannot explain the real reason to an adult, the case is not ready. Hints are questions, never answers. And hazards — gas, electricity, fire, water, railway lines — always model the safe behaviour, with an adult present.
